Anthropic's IPO clock is running: S-1 filed, banks named, $35B compute deal closed

In five days between June 1 and 5, Anthropic filed a confidential S-1 with the SEC, named Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and JPMorgan Chase as lead underwriters, had President Daniela Amodei publicly commit to the listing at a Bloomberg conference, and closed a $35 billion debt package with Apollo and Blackstone to fund its compute infrastructure. Anthropic raises $65B at a $965B valuation, surpassing OpenAI

Anthropic closed a $65 billion Series H on May 28 at a $965 billion post-money valuation, overtaking OpenAI to become the most valuable private AI company in the world.
